Materials

  • Alize Bella (100% Cotton, 180m (197yds)/50g (1.76oz), Sport Weight) Yarn in the following colors
    • White
  • Crochet hook: 2.00 mm
  • Filling
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Abbreviations

  • St(s) – stitch(es)
  • Mr – magic ring
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Inc – increase (2 sc in next st)
  • Dec – decrease (2 sc worked off together)
  • (nr) – indicates the total number of stitches in the current row/round

Important Notes

  • All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join or turn, unless instructed otherwise.
  • You may find it useful to use a stitchmarker for counting your rounds.
  • Stuff pieces as you go. Give each part a nice shape. Avoid overstuffing as it might overstretch the crocheted piece.

Size of the finished figure

The finished bunny is about 10 cm (4 inches) tall, if you use similar weight yarn. In case you use a thicker yarn, your bunny will be bigger, if you use thiner yarn, your bunny will be smaller.

Pattern Instructions

The ears, head and body is created as one continuous piece started by the ears.

Ears

Make 2 ears.

Round 1:  6 sc in mr (6)
Round 2:  (sc, inc)*3 (9)
Round 3:  (2 sc, inc)*3 (12)
Round 4:  (3 sc, inc)*3 (15)
Round 5 – Round 8:  sc*15 (15)
Round 9:  (3 sc, dec)*3 (12)
Round 10:  sc*12 (12)
Round 11:  (2 sc, dec)*3 (9)
Round 12:  sc*9 (9)
Round 13:  (sc, dec)*3 (6)

Leave a short tail for sewing when cutting the yarn for the first ear.

Do not cut the yarn for the second ear as it will be used to continue working on the head.

Head

Round 14: Join the two pieces together. Crochet 3 sc on the second ear, then work 6 sc around the first piece, and finish with another 3 sc on the second piece (12 stitches total). Use the tail to sew the gap between the two pieces closed (if necessary).

Start stuffing the head and keep on stuffing while crocheting.

Do not cut the yarn. Continue with the body.

Start stuffing the body and keep on stuffing while crocheting.
