  • st(s) – stitch(es)
  • mr – magic ring
  • sc – single crochet
  • inc – increase (2 sc in next st)
  • dec – decrease (2 sc worked off together)
  • (nr) – indicates the total number of stitches in the current row/round

Size of the finished item

The finished gnome is about 7 cm (2.75 inches) tall, if you use similar weight yarn. In case you use a thicker yarn, your gnome will be bigger, if you use thiner yarn, your gnome will be smaller.
