Materials

  • Puli (100% Cotton, 125m (137yds)/50g (1.76oz), Sport Weight) Yarn
  • Crochet hook: 2.00 mm
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Abbreviations

  • St(s) – stitch(es)
  • Mr – magic ring
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Dc – double crochet
  • Inc – increase (2 sc in next st)
  • Dec – decrease (2 sc worked off together)
  • (nr) – indicates the total number of stitches in the current row/round

Size of the finished bunny ears

The finished bunny ears will fit a medium sized egg, if you use similar weight yarn. In case you use a thicker yarn, your finger puppet will be bigger, if you use thiner yarn, your bunny will be smaller.

Pattern Instructions

Head

Round 1:  12 dc in mr (12)
Round 2:  inc*12 (24)
Round 3:  (7 dc, inc)*3 (27)
Round 4:  (8 dc, inc)*3 (30)
Round 5:  (9 sc, inc)*3 (33)
Fasten off.

Ears

Make 2 ears.

Round 1:  6 sc in mr (6)
Round 2:  (sc, inc)*3 (9)
Round 3:  (2 sc, inc)*3 (12)
Round 4:  (3 sc, inc)*3 (15)
Round 5 – Round 8:  sc*15 (15)
Round 9:  (3 sc, dec)*3 (12)
Round 10:  sc*12 (12)
Round 11:  (2 sc, dec)*3 (9)
Round 12:  sc*9 (9)

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Sewing pieces together

Sew the ears on the top of the head. You can use it on crocheted Easter egg as well. This Easter egg is the prefect size, if you use the same weight yarn for both projects.
