Change color if you would like to make the next round in a different color.
Round 2: 1 sc to each stitch around the entire hat. Finish off, cut the yarn.
Dinosaur / Dragon Spikes
These hats are endlessly customizable with colors and patterns. I added dinosaur / dragon spikes to mine.
Round 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Round 2: 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc (8)
Round 3: 3 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc (10)
Round 4: 4 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc (12)
Round 5: 5 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc (14)
Round 6: 6 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc (16)
Round 7: 7 sc, inc, 7 sc, inc (18)
Round 8: 8 sc, inc, 8 sc, inc (20)

Flatten each spike into a triangle shape. Attach them to the hat. I made 6 spkies for this size.
If you would like to add ties – for toddlers who try to pull their hats off all the time – you can add them with a three-strand braid.
